The Ladies of Honor Ministry of the Ligonier Christian Church is a ministry in which women of faith can reach out to others, but also grow from within. Our mission is to encourage and love each other, as Christ first loved us. We desire self-discovery as we learn to use our gifts to help others. We are certainly not perfect, but saved by the grace of God.

By trusting in the LORD, and accepting His promises, we believe that God desires women to be strong and faithful. By allowing God to empower our walk, we strive to be strong, independent, and a reflection of His grace. “The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him. The LORD is the strength of his people, a fortress of salvation for his anointed one” (Psalm 28:7-8, NLT).

We desire transparency in our lives fully trusting in the LORD to achieve a greater work in us all. We choose to live lives of faith, not perfection, for He alone is perfect. We desire, even in our weaknesses, to be honest, open, and a trustworthy servant. “Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you. Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path. Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil” (2 Cor. 8:21, NLT).

It is our desire to make it our goal to please God. We recognize that faith is a journey and we are all in it together. By leaning on each other, we can all mature encouraging each other along the way. “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he hears us” (1 John 5:14, NLT).

We choose to live an intentional life seeking God’s plan for our gifts in His Kingdom. Our purpose-driven life leads us to a passion for making a difference in the world. “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11, NLT).
